Promoting stability. Reuniting families.

Founded in 1996 by a group of concerned stakeholders within the Washoe County Family Court system, Tru Vista provides assistance to families and children involved in Washoe County specialty courts; Family Treatment Court, Safe Babies Court and Minor Guardianship Court.

Tru Vista works with the court team; Judges, attorneys, Health and Human Services, and treatment providers, to round out the services available to our clients. Tru Vista offers case management and financial support that is otherwise unavailable to promote the success of clients in specialty courts.

Starting in early 2024, Tru Vista will provide Parent Navigator services to pregnant persons who are struggling with substance use. Anyone can call our Parent Navigator hotline to refer or access compassionate peer mentorship to help begin or continue a recovery journey. Parent Navigators, with lived experience, can help parents access resources to achieve the best possible outcome for parents and their child(ren).

As a non-profit, we are able to work independently, to quickly and strategically meet urgent and more long-term needs. Since its founding, Tru Vista has served more than 2000 adults and 2600 children.

We appreciate the generous support we receive from:
